After updating a deployment to the SAS Viya 3.5 revision 24w44, SAS® Event Stream Processing dfesp_xml_server fails to start on Red Hat 8. The dfesp_xml_server process fails with the following message:

/opt/sas/viya/home/SASEventStreamProcessingEngine/6.2/bin/dfesp_xml_server: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If this deployment was previously run on Red Hat 8 prior to the upgrade, install the compat-openssl10 library as described in Requirements and Limitations of the SAS® Viya® 3.5 Administration documentation.

If this is the first time that this deployment was run on Red Hat 8, contact SAS Technical Support with the order number associated with the deployment.
