Install the Active-X controls required for SAS® Merchandise Planning when you do not have administrative priviledges


SAS Merchandise Planning requires ActiveX controls to be installed. If you do not have administrative privileges or ActiveX controls are not allowed to download, complete the centralized installation steps below:

  1. Retrieve the following files from the /Utilities/SAS Merchandise Planning Client Installs directory that is provided with the software installation package.
    • SASGraph.cab
    • SASWkshtCtrl.cab
    • cuixctrl_r6.cab
  2. Using the delivery tool that is in place at your organization. Create a client deployment package for the installation of the ActiveX controls. Below are the locations where the files must be installed (in the order listed):
    1. Install the cuixctrl_r6.cab files:
      • Install file CUIXCtrl.dll to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\CUIXCtrl.dll.
      • Install file CUIXCtrl.inf to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\CUIXCtrl.inf.
    2. Install the SASWkshtCtrl.cab files:
      • Install file SASWkshtCtrl.ocx to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\SASWkshtCtrl.ocx.
      • Install file GdiPlus.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\GdiPlus.dll.
      • Install file mfc110.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc110.dll.
      • Install file mfc110enu.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc110enu.dll.
      • Install file mfc110u.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc110u.dll.
      • Install file msvcp110.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcp110.dll.
      • Install file msvcr110.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcr110.dll.
      • Install file wksht-cab.inf to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wksht-cab.inf.
      • Install file og1301as.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\og1301as.dll.
      • Install file sfl601as.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\sfl601as.dll.
      • Install file RWUXThemeS11.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RWUXThemeS11.dll.
      • Install file vc11-re200l.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\vc11-re200l.dll.
  3. Below are the files that need to be register, in the order listed:
    1. Register CUIXCtrl.dll.
      • Execute C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\CUIXCtrl.dll.
    2. Register SAS WkshtCtrl.ocx.
      • Execute C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\SASWkshtCtrl.ocx.
