When you have a question regarding a SAS Enterprise Miner process flow diagram or node, it is often helpful to include a model package (SPK file). Follow these steps below to create a model package. The model package includes logs, diagrams, results, settings, and code. Your data is not included.
If you want to view the content of your model package, see SAS KB0036529, "Using SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm) model package SPK files to view results and logs, and to re-create diagrams for further analysis".
NOTE: If a Server Error is displayed, then scroll down to the Server Error instructions in this note. The instructions tell how to create a model package even if the flow does not run successfully.
1. Right-click the node of interest, or on the last node in your flow. Select Create Model Package...
2. Specify a name for the model package. Select OK. In the Run Status pop-up window, select OK.
If a Server Error is displayed, then scroll down to the Server Error instructions in this note.
3. Navigate in the project panel to the Model Packages section.
4. Right-click the model package that you created. Select Save As... to save the model package to a location that you can access.
5. You can email the SPK file.
For more information about model packages, see SAS Enterprise Miner Help.
Server Error
When you create a model package, you might encounter a server error:
Server Error
This flow needs to either be updated or needs to be run.
The model package created may not contain the correct scoring information
such as the SAS Score Code, input variables and/or output variables tables.
Press OK and continue to step 3 above. However, sometimes when this error occurs, the Model Packages section does not display the model package that you just saved. If your model package is not displayed, then click View ► Refresh Project. If your model package is still not displayed, then exit SAS Enterprise Miner, and start SAS Enterprise Miner again. The model package should be displayed after you restart SAS Enterprise Miner.
