When you log on to the SAS Visual Analytics Hub 7.5 (or a later version) and then click the three lines next to SAS Home (), you might see only Theme Designer listed. Other SAS Visual Analytics items, such as Report Builder, Report Viewer, Administrator, Data Preparation, and Custom Graph Builder, might be missing.
Or, if you click the + next to Shortcut, the only application that you are able to add is SAS Theme Designer.
SAS Visual Analytics items, such as Report Builder, Report Viewer, Administrator, Data Preparation, and Custom Graph Builder, can be missing if the SAS installation data files (SID files) in metadata have expired.
In addition, if you try to access Report Viewer directly via URL (i.e. http://<hostname>/SASVisualAnalyticsViewer), you might receive the following error:
To fix these issues, update each SID file in metadata. To accomplish this task for Windows Servers, perform steps D and E below from SAS® 9.4 Software License Renewal Instructions for Microsoft Windows and Windows for x64 Planned Deployment:
To accomplish this task for UNIX platforms, refer to Steps for the SID files in Metadata section in SAS® 9.4 Software License Renewal Instructions for UNIX Environments Planned Deployment:
Note: To determine current SID files in metadata, check the current SID file(s) in metadata. See SAS Note 57183, "Viewing the SID files in metadata via code submission for SAS® 9.4 (TS1M1) and earlier or via SAS® Management Console for SAS® 9.4 (TS1M2) and later."
If the problem persists, possible issues are as follows:
The problem can persist if you are using a subcapacity license file and there is an issue with the computer name that is included in the MODEL and/or MODNUM fields in the SID file. (For information about subcapacity license files, see SAS Note 41121, "Starting in SAS® 9.2, a SAS® subcapacity license for a Microsoft Windows operating system is available and includes number of cores and computer name.")
If you encounter this issue, contact SAS Technical Support and provide the following information:
An issue is known to occur if multiple SID files are in the metadata. See SAS Note 59495, "SAS® 9.3 and SAS® 9.4 solutions might return an error message and stop working during the licensing warning period."
