SAS® Deployment Manager on SAS® 9.4M3 (TS1M3) displays a blank summary of products when attempting to uninstall

When you run the SAS Deployment Manager to uninstall your SAS® software, the Summary page for the products that you chose to uninstall might be blank. In addition, the uninstallation process stops responding.

If you see that the process has stopped, try clicking the Start button on the blank Summary page. Another page, called Removing Software in Progress, should be displayed. However, the process does not progress. See the following screenshots:

This problem occurs only with the SAS 9.4M3 (TS1M3) maintenance release. This problem does not occur with any other maintenance release of SAS® 9.4.

Workarounds

Complete one of the following workarounds:

Workaround 1

  1. Click setup.zip to download the file and then unzip it to access the setup.jar file.
  2. After you extract the setup.jar file from the ZIP folder, replace the setup.jar file in the location that is appropriate for your system. The default location is one of the following:
    C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASDeploymentManager\9.4\products\deploywiz__94330__prt__xx__sp0__1\deploywiz\
    or
    C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASDeploymentManager\9.4\products\deploywiz__94360__prt__xx__sp0__1\deploywiz\

Workaround 2

Manually remove ALL SAS products by following the instructions in SAS KB0036219, "The procedure for completely uninstalling SAS® software releases 8.2, 9.1.3, 9.2, 9.3, and 9.4 from a Windows operating environment."

Workaround 3

Request a new software order, SAS 9.4M3 revision 15w47 or later. After you install the new SAS software, you can use SAS Deployment Manager to uninstall products as needed.
