Unconfiguring SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio after an update-in-place to SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8)

SAS Customer Intelligence Studio is retired with the release of SAS 9.4M8. If you went through the update-in-place process to SAS 9.4M8 before you ran the SAS® Deployment Manager to unconfigure SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Download the cicstudio_config.xml file.
    2. On the middle-tier machine, replace the cicstudio_config.xml file that is located in the SASHome/SASCustomerIntelligenceStudio/<latest version>/Config directory with the file that you downloaded.
    3. Proceed with the Removing a SAS Configuration instructions in the SAS® 9.4 Administration Guide to remove the Customer Intelligence Studio configuration.

Note: You must ensure that you have the correct format of the xml file. The following sections explain how to download the xml file correctly.

If you complete steps similar to the following, an issue occurs with the xml file:

  1. In Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, open the cicstudio_config.xml file download link.
  2. A config script will be displayed in the browser. Select all the text and then paste the text into your editor of choice.

In this scenario, the characters are translated and formatted to an incorrect file state.

To correctly download the xml file, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the cicstudio_config.xml file download link.
  2. A config script will be displayed in the browser. Perform a Save page as action.

Note: If you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, navigate to More Tools ► Save page as... to perform this action.
