When running SAS® OnDemand for Academics installed clients you might find that the ports that are needed for these clients to connect to the SAS OnDemand for Academics servers are blocked. To test whether this is the case, download the SAS OnDemand for Academics PortChecker.exe file from GitHub here and complete the steps below.
1. After you download the PortChecker.exe file and run the file application as an administrator, the following window appears. Click Next:
2. The next window asks you to verify that you are having issues with connecting SAS OnDemand for Academics installed clients to the SAS servers. Click Yes to continue:
3. Select the region that your SAS OnDemand for Academics account is registered with:
4. Once the application is finished checking the access to the ports for the region that you have selected, a window appears that provides the results that are found. If there are no blockages, it looks similar to the window below:
You can either copy and paste the results or click Save to save the results to your machine so that you can provide them to Technical Support.
