SAS Technical Support provides the get-k8s-info script to collect diagnostic information from a SAS® Viya® or SAS® Viya® Monitoring for Kubernetes environment. The get-k8s-info script output can help SAS Technical Support resolve many issues. You should attach the output of get-k8s-info to a case opened from the SAS Customer Service Portal for SAS Technical Support to review.

Review the Readme for get-k8s-info for additional details about running the script. The get-k8s-info script is updated frequently, so make sure that you have obtained the latest version of the script.

The get-k8s-info script output should be provided when opening a case in scenarios where the following occurs:

• Pods are repeatedly restarting.
• Pods are in CrashLoopBackoff state.
• Pods are in the Init state or not in the Running state.
• Deploying or updating SAS Viya did not complete successfully.
• Performance issues occur when using SAS Viya.
• Users are reporting CAS server related problems.
• SAS Viya Backup, Restore, or Purge encountered a failure.
• Deploying or updating SAS Viya Monitoring for Kubernetes did not complete successfully.
