After you install the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, the SAS menu or the add-in toolbars might be missing from Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, or other Microsoft Office applications. The problem shows up in different ways:
- The SAS menu or toolbars are present in Word but not in Excel, or vice versa.
- The SAS menu or toolbars are missing for one user account, but they are present for other user accounts.
To troubleshoot this problem, use the following instructions to examine both the Disabled Items and the Common Object Model (COM) Add-Ins. Follow the steps for your version of Microsoft Office.
Note: These instructions use Microsoft Excel in multiple versions of Microsoft Office. However, you can use the instructions for other Microsoft Office products. Simply substitute the other product name in the instructions. For example, use Word in place of Excel.
