Setting the default SAS® Management Console storage folder in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ 7.x

To set the default SAS metadata storage location for SAS Enterprise Miner projects, follow these steps.

1. Log on to SAS Management Console as the unrestricted user (sasadm@saspw).

2. Go to Application Management ► Enterprise Miner ► Projects, and right-click Workspace Server ► Properties ► Options.

3. Fill in the path where you want the projects to be stored.

Note: You need to create a project storage location if it does not already exist. Give SAS Enterprise Miner users ReadMetaData, WriteMemberMetaData, and Read permissions on this folder. To create a folder, select the Folders tab and go to the Shared Data folder. Right-click the Shared Data folder and choose New Folder.

After the new folder is created, right-click the new folder and choose Properties. As mentioned above, give the SAS Enterprise Miner users ReadMetaData, WriteMemberMetaData, and Read permissions on this folder.

4. Refresh the application server context where you made the changes by following the Use SAS Management Console to Operate the SAS Object Spawner or the SAS/CONNECT Spawner ► Refresh Application Server section of SAS®  9.4 Intelligence Platform: System Administration Guide, Fourth Edition.

5. Log on to SAS Enterprise Miner and the Default Metadata path should be defined.
