The Update CAS Audit data job repeatedly fails

The Update CAS Audit data job might repeatedly fail. In the Job view of SAS® Environment Manager, the following error might occur in the Update CAS Audit data job log:

ERROR: The SASHDAT file /cas/data/caslibs/sysData/AUDIT.sashdat already exists. Specify the replace option to overwrite an existing file.
NOTE: Cloud Analytic Services dropped table AUDIT from caslib SystemData.

This issue can occur if you configured the CAS Server to use storage that is not fully POSIX compliant. When you configure the CAS Server to use storage that is not fully POSIX compliant, some CAS file system operations cannot complete (such as deleting or replacing files in CAS) which occurs with the Update CAS Audit job. It is possible that errors related to this problem might occur outside of the Update CAS Audit job when you are working with CAS. This SAS KB article just provides one example that is specific to the Audit job.

For more information about the requirements for the CAS Server, refer to SAS Help Center: Hardware and Resource Requirements

At this time, the only workaround for this issue is to perform a full system migration and specify POSIX compliant storage for the CAS Server.
